Showcasing a range of African cultural dance, art performance, poetry and some indoor Creativity.
Positive Children 4 Real Project (PC4R) is registered as a seasonal community group with the Reading and Bracknell Voluntary Action; it is fully constituted with approved Child Protection and Equality Policies in place. We currently operate in Reading and Bracknell areas, and work in partnership with some Local Stakeholders. The PC4R Project is run by elected Trustees, who in turn, have powers to appoint paid Holiday Camp Workers, to run the Children and Young persons’ activities over the school holidays only. All Holiday Camp workers are vetted and fully trained to work with children.
Children from minority ethnic backgrounds can be unintentionally marginalised, thus they can be more likely to miss out on chances to play and take part in various physical and artistic activities. Girls Group: Every child has the right to be safe at home, in their community and at school. By offering inclusive play and creative activities, we benefit the whole community. PC4R will ensure that local children, especially girls and those who are disabled can take part in a range of sporting or artistic activities.
Girls’ participation in sport or expressive arts aims to widen their social and educational opportunities by empowering them to lead the way, giving them new possibilities to aspire to and helping them to see and acknowledge their potential.
We will be organising Sport and art activities in Reading and Bracknell by using high-quality physical education; sport and creative play to capacity build children from disaffected communities in our area. children use arts and craft or expressive arts such as African dance & Songs as an important tool to build skills and develop confidence, especially for young people.
REGULATED ACTIVITIES/DBSEvery adult who operates regulated activities frequently, intensively over 4 to 30 days is required to be Police Checked. Therefore, every Holiday Camp worker, Co-Ordinator and Volunteers who work for Positive Children 4 Real will be subject to a statutory DBS disclosure (Police Checks). A Child Protection Policy is in place to safeguard and promote the welfare of every child accessing our activities.
